With its label Brussels Philharmonic Recordings, the Brussels Philharmonic aims to produce recordings of the great orchestra repertoire that will serve as reference points for the future and will see a wide distribution.
The repertoire of the Brussels Philharmonic covers the great symphonic works from Beethoven to the present. The programme of the first four CDs has been designed in such a way as to present the orchestra in all its facets, under the baton of former chief conductor Michel Tabachnik (today Chef Emeritus of Brussels Philharmonic).
These will be followed by series organised thematically. The emphasis will be on the 20th century, with particular attention to the link with Brussels and specifically with the Flagey building, where Bartók and Stravinsky, among others, conducted what was then the radio orchestra in Belgian premieres of their works.
